Red Hot Chili Peppers reunite with John Frusciante

Red Hot Chili Peppers have parted ways with guitarist Josh Klinghoffer and have been rejoined by John Frusciante.

Klinghoffer was in the Peppers for a decade, playing on the band's last two studio albums, 2011's "I'm With You" and 2016's "The Getaway".

"The Red Hot Chili Peppers announce that we are parting ways with our guitarist of the past ten years, Josh Klinghoffer," the band said.

"Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he shared with us."

The group added: "We also announce, with great excitement and full hearts, that John Frusciante is rejoining our group."
